What is Fencing?
Fencing, referred to as "Sword Fighting," is an Olympic sport that consists of 3 different weapons: Epee, Foil, and Sabre. All three weapons share the same general rules: To face an opponent in a one-on-one match, trying to reach a number of points/touches before the opponent wins the match. Why Fencing?
​
Fencing is a greatly beneficial sport that guarantees to improve your physical state, increasing your strength, endurance, and overall fitness at a high level because fencers are forced to make quick and aggressive movements for a long period of time. Fencing also requires lots of mental engagement, as fencers think and focus on strategies they may use in their match. Like any activities, fencing includes much social interaction, and making friends along their journey to being a great fencer.
